THE INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR MAKING THIS BEAUTIFUL DESSERT
ARE:-
1 cup of blackcurrants that have been properly washed and
trimmed
150 ml of milk
1 large egg
2 egg yolks
75 grams of white castor sugar
300 ml of whipped cream
STEP BY STEP METHOD FOR PREPARING THIS BEAUTIFUL DESSERT
1.Place the black
currants and milk in a saucepan and bring it to a boil.Set aside and allow it
to cool.
2once the mixture has cooled completely.Puree the mixture in
a blender or food processor.Sieve the puree to remove the pips.
3Place the puree in a pan and bring it to a boil again.
4In a heatproof bowl,beat the egg,egg yolks and castor sugar
together till it is thick.Now pour the pureed boiled blackcurrant mixture into
it.Place this bowl in a double boiler(over a pan of simmering water) and stir
till the mixture is thick.remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
5in a separate bowl whip the cream till it forms soft peaks
.fold it into the cool blackcurrant mixture.Transfer the mixture into a freezer
container and freeze till it is firmly set and firm(beating it twice every
hour).
