INGREDIENTS
1 stick unsalted butter,room temperature
1 cup plus 3 tablespoons white granulated sugar,
1 cup all-purpose flour(sifted)
11/2 teaspoons baking powder
dash of salt
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 can of sliced peaches
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
METHOD FOR MAKING THE PEACH COBBLER
PREheat the oven to 375°.Pour the melted unsalted butter into 8 inch square baking dish . In a bowl, place 1 cup of the granulated sugar, the all purpose flour, baking powder, and salt;and mix well so that all the dry ingredients are blended well. Now Stir in the milk and pure vanilla extract and mix well until blended. After this Pour the prepared batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Place the canned peach slices with the remaining 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Arrange the peach slices over the batter in the baking dish. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake center comes out completely clean. The top of the will be lightly browned and the cake start to pull away from the sides of the baking dish. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
