INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING THIS BEAUTIFUL DESSERT-SERVES 6
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons white granulated
sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
4 tablespoons creme de cacao
1 cup heavy whipping cream
8 ounce frozen sliced California strawberries in syrup, thawed
COOKING METHOD
In
small saucepan over high heat bring the water
and sugar to boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the to low heat and simmer for about 1 minute. Set aside to cool
Now combine the semi sweet chocolate
pieces and sugar mixture together in
blender .Blend and cool to room
temperature.
In medium bowl beat with the beater 3/4 cup of the cream to form stiff peaks.
Using a spatula fold in the chocolate
mixture into cream, blending thoroughly. Cover and freeze until firm, for at
least 6 -7 hours.
In a blender or food combine
strawberries with the remaining cream and creme de cacao blend until the
mixture is smooth. Cover and chill.
To serve, pour equal amounts of the strawberry sauce into 6 dessert dishes and add scoops of the chocolate
mixture.
