INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING GREEN VELVET CAKE
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
1 teaspoon white vinegar
2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
a few drops of Green food coloring
COOKING METHOD
Grease bottom and sides of three 8-inch round cake pans

COOKING METHOD

In a bowl Mix the
well beaten eggs, granulated sugar, oil and vinegar in bowl. Make sure all the
ingredients are well combined.
In another bowl mix the dry ingredients flour and baking soda together and sift and set aside .Now alternately add the well combined egg mixture and the buttermilk to the sifted flour mixture, beating well after each addition. Add the pure vanilla extract and12-15 drops of green food colouring and mix well. Pour the cake batter into the greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes, or till the toothpick inserted at the centre of the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting with white icing.

1 box confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons butter melted
8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
In another bowl mix the dry ingredients flour and baking soda together and sift and set aside .Now alternately add the well combined egg mixture and the buttermilk to the sifted flour mixture, beating well after each addition. cream cheese and butter together with an electric mixer. Add in the vanilla
extract and confectioner’s sugar and continue to beat till the mixture is
smooth and creamy. Spread this prepared icing between the three layers of the
